Seller Policy

Standards for seller verification, listings, fulfilment, customer care, fees and payouts.

1. Eligibility and verification

Sellers must be legally able to trade, provide accurate identity and contact details, and hold any registrations, licences or approvals required for their products. Ceylona may request identity, bank, address, tax, sourcing or production evidence before or after approval.

2. What may be sold

Listings should represent authentic products made, designed, grown, prepared or meaningfully curated by the seller or their disclosed Sri Lankan business. Production partners and imported components must be disclosed when material to a buyer’s decision. Reselling mass-produced goods as handmade is prohibited.

3. Listing standards

  • Use accurate photos, titles, materials, dimensions, origin, stock and processing times.
  • Disclose allergens, ingredients, hazards, age limits, care requirements and material variations.
  • State whether an item is made-to-order, customised, vintage or one of a kind.
  • Use lawful pricing and clearly disclose total product charges.
  • Only use content and trademarks you have permission to use.

4. Orders and service

  • Honour confirmed orders or promptly explain and refund an unavoidable cancellation.
  • Pack safely and dispatch within the stated processing time.
  • Provide valid tracking where the selected delivery service supports it.
  • Respond professionally and protect buyer contact and delivery information.
  • Do not use buyer data for unrelated marketing without valid permission.

5. Fees, reserves and payouts

Applicable commission, subscription, advertising, payment and other fees will be shown before they apply. Ceylona may deduct fees, refunds, chargebacks, taxes and amounts owed from seller balances. Payouts may be delayed or reserved to address verification, fraud, elevated disputes, delivery risk or legal obligations.

6. Product safety and compliance

Sellers are responsible for product safety and compliance. Food, cosmetics, Ayurveda, children’s goods, electrical products and regulated items may require additional evidence or approval. Sellers must cooperate with recalls, safety notices, buyer remedies and authority requests.

7. Enforcement

We may reject or remove listings, limit visibility, hold funds, cancel orders or suspend a shop for policy breaches or risk. Serious matters include counterfeit goods, unsafe products, manipulated reviews, repeated non-delivery, off-platform fee avoidance and identity deception.
