In the maker's words

This is grown and hand-prepared by hand in the Matale spice gardens, using true ceylon cinnamon and black pepper. It is peeled and rolled by hand the same week it is cut, never machine-ground. Because every piece is made by hand, small differences in colour and finish are part of it — no two come out quite the same.
