In the maker's words

This is drawn and soldered by hand in the silver workshops of Kandy, using gold plate. Each thread of filigree is drawn, coiled and soldered by hand under a lens. The colour comes out as gold-plated. Because every piece is made by hand, small differences in colour and finish are part of it — no two come out quite the same.
